Streets
Prepares and administrates the City’s Street Pavement Management Program including the resurfacing and reconstruction of existing streets and the construction of new streets.
Provides intersection signal and canalization design improvements. Assists in the evaluation of transportation and traffic impacts of development proposals, permits, rezones, and plats. Prepares traffic, utility and other studies and reports.
Bridges
Oversees the Bridge and Seawall Maintenance Program which involves the inspection of the structures and subsequent analysis and design of structural repairs as needed.
Oversees and/or supervises construction work on bridges. Acts as City’s representative for the FDOT Bridge Replacement Program on Hallandale Beach Boulevard and A1A.
Construction
Designs, analyzes plans, and manages the construction of various types of City infrastructures such as utilities, streets, sidewalks, buildings, drainage and other facilities.
Grants
Apply for and administer Federal and State grants for City infrastructure improvements. Such grants include but are not limited to Community Development Block Grant, Beach Re-nourishment, Beach Re-vegetation, and FDOT Road Improvements.
