Erosion and Sedimentation Control Agreement


 

For Construction Sites Less than One (1) Acre

All contractors who are planning to have construction operations must implement appropriate pollution prevention techniques to minimize erosion and sedimentation and properly manage storm-water. Contractors must sign the sedimentation agreement and implement a sedimentation and erosion control plan.

For Construction Sites Greater than One (1) Acre

All contractors who are planning to have construction operations must implement appropriate pollution prevention techniques to minimize erosion and sedimentation and properly manage storm-water. Contractors must the sedimentation agreement and implement a sedimentation and erosion control plan.

 

In addition, Engineering Department must receive two (2) copies of the Notice of Intent (NOI) to the State of Florida, two (2) copies of the storm water pollution prevention plans and two (2) copies of the check that was paid to the State.

Florida Storm water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control

Contractors are required to use Best Management Practices (BMPs) during and after construction to minimize erosion and sedimentation and to properly manage runoff for both storm water quantity and quality.

 

The State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection has developed the Florida Storm water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector’s Manual. This manual is designed to be a comprehensive reference source for inspectors and contractors, permit reviewers and public works personnel.
